Make a material plan you can check
Keep dimensions, product specifications, assumptions and rounding in one note.
Separate facts from choices
Record your measured dimensions, units, date and surface. In another column, write label figures such as coverage per litre or per box. Cut allowance and coat count are project choices; do not present them as measured facts.
Calculate in stages
Write gross area, deductions, net area, allowance or coats, and package rounding in order. This helps explain differences between a calculator result and a receipt. Save the selected brand and product number because specifications vary.
Review before buying
Recheck irregular areas, surfaces needing different colours or materials, and available pack sizes. For work involving electricity, structure or hazardous materials, follow local rules and use qualified help; this sheet only plans measurements.
